Charlotte is second in the limited edition series Precious as Pearls. Her elegant dress of antique blue taffeta is lavishly trimmed with ivory lace, blue and ivory satin ribbon, pearls and ivory rosettes. Matching taffeta shoes with pearl buttons and ivory rosettes, a wide brimmed bonnet and taffeta, lace, rosettes and ostrich feathers, and a charming parasol complete her outfit, designed by Susan Stone Aiken.

Charlotte’s original bisque face is framed with blonde ringlets and cascading curls and her large paperweight eyes are blue. She wears a Precious as Pearls pin set with two pearls, designating her position as second in the series.

She is 19” tall, hallmarked and dated, and her number is written in gold on her neck, near the hallmark.

Gorham certifies that Charlotte is issued in a limited edition of 2500. Each doll has been inspected to assure Gorham’s high standards of quality have been met.

Charlotte is musical, her delicate 18 note musical movement playing “My Favorite Things”.
