Clara and the Nutcracker is the first in a series of 16 limited edition dolls commemorating favorite children of Christmas. Designed by Susan Stone Aiken, she is a vision of loveliness from the top of her cascading auburn hair adorned with an elegant lace and satin hair ornament to the tips of her pink leather ballet slippers. Her candlelight pink satin dress and organza pinafore are trimmed with rows of lace and satin ruffles. She has an original Gorham hand-painted, bisque porcelain face and hand-crafted green paperweight eyes.

Clara holds her very own wooden nutcracker also designed by Susan Stone Aiken and painted in soft colors to complement her clothing. Her delicate 18 note musical movement plays “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy”. Clara wears a delicate silver plated snowflake bracelet which identified all of the dolls in the Children of Christmas series.

Gorham certifies that Clara is issued in a limited edition of 1,500 pieces, each carefully made of the high quality standards of the Gorham Doll Collection. She is hallmarked, dated and numbered in gold on the back of her neck.
