In 1981 Gorham brought the world of doll collecting to life with the Gorham Doll Collection, ten exquisite, original dolls created by Gorham designers.

Lydia celebrates the fifth anniversary of this collection. She is a magnificent doll whose original face was inspired by the French dolls of Cru. Her outfit is an enchanting Gorham design featuring he interplay of color and texture as five fabrics and six laces blend in a rich and exciting new look in colors of teal, rose and ivory.

A charming bonnet laden with pearls, ribbons, silk flowers and feathers, sits atop Lydia’s light brown hair, and features a cascade of fabric, matching the train of her bustled dress.

Lydia’s undergarments are as elaborate as her dress. Her camisole, slip and underskirt e of ivory tissue taffeta with ribbon-woven eyelet trim, and she wears lace stockings and satin shoes.

Completing her outfit is a stunning, gold plated locket, dated 1985 and inlaid with a diamond.

Lydia is limited to an edition of 1500. Her number has been printed in old on her neck near the hallmark and date. Your Lydia is number 1325 and Certified by Shirley M Blackall.
