Precious as Pearls Complete Collection of 4 Dolls, by Gorham Dolls

Precious as Pearls describes Colette, the first doll in a new limited edition series. She is elegant in a pink taffeta dress with a long tiered skirt, with scalloped inserts of a contrasting cotton print, the fitted bodice and mutton sleeves are lavishly trimmed with ivory lace and satin bows. Her original face is French style, with large brown paperweight eyes, and her light brown curls are crowned with an elaborate hat of pink, trimmed with heathers and silk flowers. Her outfit is completed by layers of petticoats, cotton lace stockings and satin shoes trimmed with a pink rosette. Colette wears a Precious as Peals pin set with one pearl, designating her position as first doll in the series and is musical, playing “Thank Heaven for Little Girls”.

Charlotte is second in the limited edition series Precious as Pearls. Her elegant dress of antique blue taffeta is lavishly trimmed with ivory lace, blue and ivory satin ribbon, pearls and ivory rosettes. Matching taffeta shoes with pearl buttons and ivory rosettes, a wide brimmed bonnet and taffeta, lace, rosettes and ostrich feathers, and a charming parasol complete her outfit, designed by Susan Stone Aiken. Charlotte’s original bisque face is framed with blonde ringlets and cascading curls and her large paperweight eyes are blue. She wears a Precious as Pearls pin set with two pearls, designating her position as second in the series, and is musical, playing “My Favorite Things”.

Lovely Chloe, in dusty lavender taffeta, is the third doll in the Precious as Pearls™ limited edition series. Her elegant Susan Stone Aiken costume features a lace covered mid-length skirt accented with tiny lavender satin fans of ribbon and bows. Tiny print fabric at the neck flows to a yoke trimmed with layers of ivory lace, rows of pearls and satin ribbon. Shirred lace and tine print fabric trim lavender mutton sleeves. A bonnet with a standing brim and plume, and satin shoes with lavender rosettes complete her outfit. Chestnut hair frames her original Gorham face, and blue paperweight eyes. Chloe wears a Precious as pearls pin set with three pearls, designating her place in the series. She carries a lavender taffeta and lace parasol, and is musical, playing “Try to Remember”.
